Resources
If you’ve found yourself on this page and are looking for mental health and wellbeing support, you have options.
The Supported Stage is here to provide confidential, professional assistance tailored to the unique challenges of working in the professional music theatre industry, through EAP services, company workshops and ongoing assistance from rehearsal to closing night.

In addition to accessing our service, you may also wish to speak with your GP about a Better Access Mental Health Care Plan, which can provide Medicare-rebated sessions with a psychologist. Many psychologists offer in-person or telehealth sessions, though waitlists can be long. Other support is available through counsellors, social workers, and a variety of therapy approaches.

The most important thing is finding the support system that works for you. Early support can make a real difference, but it is never too late to reach out.

If you are in danger of harming yourself or someone else, please connect with crisis services that are free and available 24/7, and follow up with your GP to coordinate an ongoing care plan.

Your physical and mental health safety, and that of those around you, is always the priority.
